Welcome to Dumpling Empire, a hidden gem in Omaha offering a vast selection of dim sum, noodles, and more. Located at 5413 S 72nd St Ste 116, Dumpling Empire is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking authentic and flavorful Asian cuisine.
As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of indulging in the delectable dishes at Dumpling Empire. From their mouth-watering appetizers like spring egg rolls and scallion pancake to their savory buns filled with beef or pork, every bite was a burst of bold flavors.
The standout item on the menu was the tri delacies dumplings, a harmonious blend of pork, shrimp, egg, chive, scallion, and ginger. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes that left me craving more.
Not to be missed are the noodle dishes at Dumpling Empire, such as the Beef Soup Noodle and the Cold Sesame Noodle. The noodles were perfectly cooked and coated in rich, flavorful sauces that complemented the ingredients beautifully.
One of the highlights of my dining experience at Dumpling Empire was watching the skilled chefs prepare the handmade noodles and dumplings right before my eyes. The attention to detail and dedication to authentic cooking techniques truly sets this restaurant apart.
In addition to the exceptional food, the ambiance at Dumpling Empire is inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family. The outdoor seating adds a charming touch to the dining experience, allowing guests to enjoy their meal al fresco.
Overall, my experience at Dumpling Empire was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Asian cuisine in Omaha.
“ Good variety of food, good customer service. You can hear the chefs cook and seating arrangements are open so the ambiance is nice. ”
“ Large location and when we got there (5pm on the weekend), it was packed which is great for a new business. I'd like to come back and try some more things, but nothing specifically wowed us. Nothing was bad, but there wasn't anything in particular I'd say "I need to get this again" to. ”
“ If you came here expecting franks, you'll be heavily disappointed. If you came here looking for dumplings, you found the right place. Only place I can think of in town that this spot is comparable to is Hip Bao, and Dumpling Empire beats them at every turn. Service is dim sum style so don't expect to get everything at once. I got a BBQ pork steamed bun, the triple delicacy fried dumplings, and the spicy pork noodles. Everything was delicious and came out piping hot. They also have traditional American style Chinese offerings i did not get a chance to try. Will definitely be back! ”
“ Loved Dumpling Empire! I get soup dumplings every time I'm in NYC and have become a fan. I have waited for a place to open in Omaha with same authentic cooking. Watched one of the ladies making the homemade noodles today. The scallion pancake had the best chew to it. So good! The cucumber salad is a dish that will leave you wanting more. Sesame spicy cold noodles are some of the best I've had. You have to have had this dish and liked it before. All the chili oil is on the bottom so make sure you mix it up. So delicious! Garlic Tofu has hot and yummy. And let's not forget the spring rolls, also delicious. ( dip them in the cucumber salad sauce) ”
“ I cannot wait to go back to Dumping Empire to try more of their menu! Everything we ordered was so good. The sauce that is on the cucumber salad is just fantastic. I dipped all of my dumplings in it because it's just so good!! All of the dumplings were great -- we got steamed and also the fried buns. Both were delicious! I really want to try their noodle dishes in the future! We will be back! My only complaint is we weren't sure if we were supposed to order at the counter or wait for a server and same when it came to paying. Also weren't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. ”
“ I'm so excited for a delicious dumpling place that serves soup dumplings! This place was new, busy, clean, and so yummy! The scallion pancakes could have been crispier but still decent. We were able to sub the flat noodles in the sichuan noodles and wow they were great! Not very spicy but good flavor. The soup dumplings were prepared well and definitely a must try. The pan fried pork dumplings were also fluffy and flavorful. The strange taste dumpling soup was also delicious. It is similar to your average spicy wonton soup but not very spicy. It was packed with flavor though so would definitely order again. The waitress was very attentive and sweet. The cooks made a mistake, and she quickly corrected it. It was a very busy evening with a long line waiting for tables by the time we left so we gave them so slack. We definitely will be returning for the same dishes and to try some more! ”
“ This is a new eatery that offers fresh dumplings and buns while you wait. Service was fine from beginning to end. The food process was a bit slow, and the spicy noodle soup with beef was just above par in my opinion. The leak pancakes were decent, and the steamed dumplings were pretty good. Overall, I would give this only 4 stars even though my previous Yelpers gave it a 5 five star rating. ”
“ Very nice location about a mile south of I 80 on 72nd St. in Omaha. Dedicated parking, indoor and outdoor seating, as well as to go ordering. Pleasantly greeted and quickly seated with accommodations for an infant in a corner of the dining room. Our servers were very nice about several folks in our party late to the table and kept the food coming the entire Meal. There is no alcohol at this location, but an array of nonalcoholic options should quench your thirst. Prices are extremely economical. Dumplings were good as was several of the appetizer and rice dishes we ordered. having only been open for a month. They did a very good job and look forward to coming back and trying a few new dishes. ”
“ We saw this new place on Yelp while looking for a new place eat. The place is fairly new and plenty of space inside. We got greeted by friendly staff and got seated right away. They have a great selection of soups, wontons, dumplings and noodles. I highly recommend the tri-color steamed soup buns, as well as the steamed shumai appetizers. Not a fan of their Chicken Leg Soup Noodle, but the Chili Oil Noodle, Cucumber salad, as well as the Chili Oil with wonton were really good. We'll definitely be back to try the other items in their menu. ”
